Save our fire stations

Last summer Tory plans to close Stations were kept secret until after summers election. This year they are keeping the result of the consultation secret until after the general election. The original plans involved closing Bedworth fire station and sacking many full time and retained fire fighters from the Borough. They also planned to close fire stations in South Warwickshire but increase the number of full time fire offices in the south.

Bedworth has the 4th highest number of call-outs and its closure would make the whole area less safe. Documents obtained under the freedom of information act by the Green Party show that west midlands fire chief believes the cuts are not sound.
